COWEN’S MULLET
One of the great favorites of southern fish (and fishermen by the way) is the mullet. Huge schools provide plenty of forage for barracuda, kings, amberjack and any species that haunt southern and temperate waters. Usually hanging close to shore, the mullet
is a prime bait for southern anglers and this mullet fly is an excellent imitation for flyrodders. Color, Natural.

COWEN’S COYOTE
The coyote was designed as a fly fishermen’s “roadrunner lure”. The roadrunner is nothing more then a bucktail jig with a spinner blade used to attract fish by way of sound vibrations. It was by far and away the most effective lure I had ever used (pre-fly fishing days). The coyote has been my #1 searching pattern when I am fishing for any game fish that is not visible. It has caught stripers, albies, bonito, weakfish, bluefish, Spanish mackerel, redfish, tarpon, speckled trout, snook as well as all fresh water bass species.

COWEN’S BAITFISH
The keys to this fly are the polar fiber tail that moves naturally unlike any other synthetic, a weighted hook that gets this bushy pattern down quick and in the feeding lane, and the hot pink flourofiber throat that changes color in the light and drives fish nuts. All in all a spectacular and productive big baitfish fly. Colors, Chartreuse/White, Olive/White.

COWEN’S ANCHOVIE
A small baitfish imitation designed for false albacore, but great for bonito and other small tunny. Generally speaking because of their smaller mouths, little tunny go after smaller baitfish schools and rip through them with abandon. Often the best way to fish them is to cast into the fray
and let the fly dead drift as if stunned. Albies and bonito will often clean up the stunned baitfish after a blitz. Color, Shrimp/Tan.

COWEN’S SILVERSIDE
Cowen’s Silverside perfectly imitates one of the most important baitfish of the Atlantic season. It’s 3” length also equals a wide range of other baitfish, including sand eels and spearing, making it an ideal general pattern. The Epoxy body mimics perfectly the quick, darting motion
of the natural and is as essential as the Clouser and Deceiver when pursuing Bonito and False Albacore as well as Stripers.
Slight weight keeps it under the surface in a current. Color, Olive/Silver

COWEN’S SANDEEL
The sand eel is a small staple baitfish that schools in the millions and provides a great portion of the predator’s diet, particularly in the northeast. Stripers push these schools toward the shore at night and often can be seen feeding on them all night on the beaches of New England. This little pattern offers a great representation with plenty of movement and a terrific profile. Color, Silver.
